Manage your choice
You can change your cookie preference at any time.
Strictly necessary
The calculator uses temporary page memory and needs no cookies. A local-storage entry, nipc_consent_v1, remembers your cookie choice. It is not used to track calculator inputs.
Analytics cookies (only with consent)
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes unique visitors for Google Analytics | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Persists session state for Google Analytics 4 | 2 years |
These are only set if you accept them via the consent banner or the button above. If you reject or ignore the banner, this site does not load Google Analytics. Changing an earlier acceptance to rejection disables analytics and attempts to remove this site’s GA cookies.
Advertising and Google’s consent message
The site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google’s message manages advertising consent for eligible visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. Where enabled, advertising may use cookies and identifiers for delivery, measurement and, with the relevant consent, personalisation. Google’s consent service may store your choice (for example, in a first-party FCCDCF cookie); the message’s partner and purpose information describes applicable processing. Accepting analytics does not grant advertising consent. Use Privacy and cookie settings below to reopen the advertising message where applicable.
How consent works technically
Consent Mode starts with analytics and advertising storage and advertising personalisation/user-data signals denied. Our analytics controls update analytics storage only. Google’s consent platform manages advertising choices; the analytics banner neither grants nor withdraws advertising consent. Analytics loads only after Accept analytics. Reject analytics disables it and attempts to remove existing first-party GA cookies. Your analytics choice is remembered in local storage. Calculator figures are not included in analytics events. The AdSense/consent script itself makes network requests; denied consent is not a promise of zero network processing.
